IGN has additional information on Summer’s upcoming role in season 2 of Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse — very exciting! — but since it’s very specific and very spoilery; also including information on Alexis Denisof’s character, I’ve posted the article under the cut. :)

In other news, expect screencaptures from Mammoth very shortly!

We have our first look at Summer as Lucy in Good Morning Rabbit; on the set images courtesy of Hadley Klein & My Take on TV as well as the teaser trailer — it definitely looks good! — you can view it over at Hadley Klein’s official site.

I’ve also added a single image to the gallery from the wrap party, which was held several weeks ago on the weekend (around August 22), again courtesy of Hadley Klein — Summer is apparently pictured with new boyfriend Cooper Reynold — I love how happy Summer looks in this pic! Gallery links and previews are below, enjoy! :)

‘Good Morning Rabbit’ Details

» 02 September 2009 » In 'Good Morning Rabbit' » No Comments

A little round-up of Summer’s new project; Good Morning Rabbit — in the supporting role of Lucy (Junkyard Sisters) — courtesy of Hadley Klein’s official site who also wrote & directed the pilot. :)

Rising from the ashes of spunky original comedies like Flight of the Conchords, It’s Always Sunny…, and Pinky and the Brain is GOOD MORNING RABBIT, the next can’t-miss television comedy series.

Side-splittingly funny! Hilariously surreal! GOOD MORNING RABBIT follows the weekly adventures of two platonic friends, BOXER and MIRA, in their efforts to celebrate every one of our great nation’s real holidays – from the most obscure (National Sorry Charlie Day, Flitch Day) to the more well-known (Groundhog Day, Wednesday). Each episode features a new holiday that leads our endearing heroes down the strangest of rabbit holes – nothing is off-limits in their world.

Platonic friends, Boxer and Mira are the rare male-female dynamic duo supporting and sharing their skewed view of the world. In stories that are off-beat and surreal, our main characters attempt to function within the parameters of the real world, aided by Boxer’s inherited fortune and a larger-than-life set of recurring characters such as their go-to assistant, the flamboyant HOLLAND HIDALGO. In the way that Buffy the Vampire Slayer utilized fantastical and sci-fi elements as an allegory for adolescence, GOOD MORNING RABBIT borrows robots, zombies, vampires, time travel, and other colorful conventions in a metaphor for growing up and discovering your greater purpose with a friend at your side. GOOD MORNING RABBIT is written and directed by Hadley Klein and produced by Nicki Cortese and Kristina Apgar.

Summer Glau set to play in the ‘Dollhouse’

» 30 August 2009 » In 'Dollhouse', News » No Comments

Summer Glau is entering Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse, folks.

No, really.

She joins the show in episode 5 — airing in October — for two initial eps playing a character called Bennett, working inside the Dollhouse.

The news was confirmed to us by Fox.

There is another article about Summer’s role on Dollhouse via HitFix.com but since it’s very spoilery, I’ve posted an extract under the cut; click on the link to read the article in full. Excited yet? :D

Welcome back!

I’m Angie — you may remember I last updated with DVD captures from The Unit — and since Mycah is no longer able to run the site, hence the lack of updates lately (though she still remains a fan of Summer) I was asked to take over the reins, so here I am. :)

Be sure to check back as I’ll be working on getting the gallery up-to-date, especially the ‘Public Appearances’ section and I’ll also be working on screencapping Summer’s roles.

We also have several new projects from Summer: a ‘rag-tag comedy’ titled Good Morning Rabbit and a recurring role in Dollhouse — yes, it’s been confirmed, at long last! The next update offers more detail on Summer’s character, but she isn’t a doll. It’s something completely different. Exciting news! :)

Joss Whedon Wants Summer On Dollhouse!

» 28 May 2009 » In News, Projects » 1 Comment

Entertainment Weekly got an exclusive with Joss Whedon recently and said that he has already approached Summer before T:SCC was even canceled about starring on Dollhouse. Joss simply wants Summer to be in a role unlike one she’s played before – I definitely see his point, but I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing her on the show in any way!

Question: With Sarah Connor Chronicles canceled, please tell me there is a possibility of Summer Glau making an appearance on Dollhouse! –Jenn
Ausiello:
The noise you’re about to hear is the sound of the Whedonverse exploding. Joss confirms to me exclusively that, well, he’s one step head of you. “If anybody thinks [bringing Summer onto Dollhouse] hasn’t occurred to me already then they have not met me,” he says. “I mentioned it to her before [SCC] was canceled. I was like, ‘You know, we should get you in the ‘house.’ But first we have to come up with something that works.” And casting her as a doll would not work, insists Whedon. “Summer would be perfect to play an active, but she’s done that [type of role] a lot,” he says. “I’d rather see her play someone who talks too much. The most fun I have is when I get somebody who’s good and comfortable at doing something, and then I make them do something else. Summer said to me, ‘I would like to play a normal girl before I die of extreme old age.’”
