Dear Friends,

Here is my long overdue thank you note to anyone and every person who has watched our pride and joy Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles… Now that our season is done and I somehow feel far away, I want to say that it wouldn’t have been possible without faithful viewers; and it wouldn’t have been fun to make without such sincere interest from you…

I choose to post my note on Cristelle’s website so that I could also thank her for the beautiful work she has done, on my behalf, for this site. I come here to reminisce from time to time because she has posted so many of my best memories. Thank you Cristelle…

Anyway, I just want to say that acting for anyone who enjoys it is a privilege. Thank you all for helping make that possible. I am devastated that our show will not be back (Jameron forever!!!), but I can’t say that I’m ungrateful for the opportunity to be part of something so special. I’m really proud of what our team put together and eternally thankful to all of you for embracing what we were trying to do…

I love Josh very much and thank him. He pushed to make me part of this cast and created a series that was unique and beautiful. James Middleton held us together, staying with us everyday on set and talking us through every step… John Wirth and Jill Danton are all- stars that I pray I work with again….ALL of our writers. Toni, thank you for giving me Allison from Palmdale…

I was just going through my scripts this morning… (I thought it was time). I picked up-

“Born To Run”

written by Josh Friedman

I’m going to miss that so much. I’m really sad…

You know I’m not good at posting things but this is my effort. I’m not very brilliant, witty or poetic like my mentors (you know who they are) but I love you, S

While we all probably saw it coming, Fox officially has made the announcement that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles has been canceled. While this is truly upsetting news to all us T:SCC / Cameron fans, we’re excited to see what Summer will do next; perhaps the Joss film or something new entirely!

“It was not an inexpensive show,” explained Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly. “We had to make some choices on the night. We looked at ratings track where it had a consistent run. And that trend line was not pointing in the right direction. We make no apologies for that show — we did a huge launch with that show. We tried. It was time to move on … Ultimately we bet on ‘Dollhouse.

Also regarding the site, I will be returning with some updates very soon. Like I wrote before I did leave the country, and then right when I got back lost my internet connection for some time.

There really are no major spoilers, but as always if you wish to know absolutely nothing, quit reading! Through the audience questions we learn the following about the show’s upcoming episodes;

1. All will be revealed about the three dots.

2. Summer really liked the addition of the Riley character because it allowed the audience to talk about if Cameron was able to feel jealousy or insecurity.

3. Josh does not want to add new characters created in the Terminator: Salvation

4. If Catherine Weaver and Cameron were to get into a fight, Catherine is much more likely to win.

5. The last 6 episodes of this season have a lot of Cameron, and she will play a huge part in the arc.

6. Josh likes to slow the storyline down to give the show less of a “Terminator of the week” feel to it. He wants to allow time for characters to go through an arc, but the last few episodes have had poor reviews.

7. No one knows whether the series will be renewed.

8. In the last 6 episodes there will be a lot of character development for all the main characters and lots of action.

9. Shirley and Summer will have a scene together.

10. Almost all of the big questions people have been asking about the previous episodes will be answered by seasons end.

11. Josh does not want Shirley singing on the show.

12. Josh hopes if there is no season 3 no one is satisfied, and the finale was written without thinking about if there would be another season. The finale wraps up a lot, but will open new doors and new questions.

13. Summer is really excited and sad about where her character ends up.

Pound for pound, Summer Glau is one of the toughest stars in the action film and television world. The fact she stands a mere 5-feet-6 and weighs about as much as a Boston terrier has not stopped the Texas native from being the muscle on TV shows like Firefly and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Who says you have to be a former bodybuilder to be a Terminator?

The Fox Network is counting on Glau to provide the punch needed to draw viewers to the show’s new 8 p.m. Friday time slot. In a real show of girl power, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is being paired with the new Eliza Dushku action series Dollhouse.

Terminator executive producer and creator Josh Friedman saw so much powerful potential in the petite actress, he wrote the part of the female Terminator with her in mind.

“I had seen Summer a few years earlier. She came in and auditioned for another show. But then she went off and did the Serenity movie. I walked around carrying her audition tape for a few weeks, kind of lamenting the loss of Summer,” says Friedman in a telephone interview. “So when I was working on the show, working on developing it and I realized I wanted to do a character like this, she was about the only one that I felt like I knew could do this.

“You know she has a quality. It’s her physicality and her dance training and all sorts of things. She’s really the only [person] I know who can kind of be completely still and still be fascinating to watch act. She’s got it.”

Portraying a human-looking robot offers a host of challenges for the actress. Often she is required to remain emotionless. At the same time, she must generate enough sympathy for the character to believe she could become close to John Connor (Thomas Dekker). The Terminator mythology says it will be John Connor who will one day lead the battle to save mankind from the killer robots.

Glau’s character, Cameron, has changed since the series started. Cameron is absorbing human behavior and trying to understand human emotion. The actress suggests Cameron is actually showing a weird form of love for John.

“The biggest difference between playing Cameron and playing other roles that I have in the past is I’m constantly making a decision about how I play this role. You know it has to be planned out. And as an actor, a lot of times you just react in a scene and you just do it from your heart. And you know Cameron cannot do that,” Glau says. “I really rely on Josh and I rely on my writers to help me with the character.”

Glau adds there are times when Cameron almost comes across like the family pet because she is docile. Then the character will do something so cold and unfeeling the viewers are hit with the show’s central reality: Cameron is a robot whose sole purpose is to use any means to complete her mission.

Look for those actions to get cranked up in upcoming episodes. There have been few days of filming when Glau has not had to wear a vest of squibs, which are the special effects devices used to show bullet holes.

These days, Glau fires big guns, gets blasted and basically handles any action required of Hollywood’s big men. This has not always been the case. The majority of acting roles for the 27-year-old actress have been more traditional. She’s appeared on Angel, Cold Case, CSI and The Unit.

She rarely gets to dance on Terminator, but all of the years she spent training have come in handy.

“I’ve been really fortunate to have been cast in some roles where I’ve been able to incorporate movement. I think that Cameron is isolated in a way and isn’t really able to relate to the other characters on a human level and I feel that movement is a way for me to express that,” Glau says. “I feel that sometimes her movement is awkward or her movement is unpredictable. And it is a way for me to help tell her story.”
