Lifetime Movie Network is embarking on “Deadly Honeymoon,” greenlighting an original movie starring “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” alumna Summer Glau.

Chris Carmack (”Drop Dead Diva”) and Zoe McLellan (”Dirty Sexy Money”) co-star in the film inspired by the real-life mysterious disappearance of groom George Allen Smith.

“Deadly Honeymoon” follows two young newlyweds, Lindsey (Glau) and Trevor Forrest (Carmack), as they embark on their 10-day honeymoon cruise. But the dream vacation devolves into a night of wild partying, infidelity and strange encounters with a group of Eastern European passengers, and the next morning, Trevor is missing, presumed to have fallen overboard to his death. However, one investigator (McLellan) begins to question if his death really was an accident.

Paul Shapiro is directing from a script by Ron McGee Michael Jacobs, Fernando Szew, Ricardo Galindez and Roy Trice are executive producing. Filming is slated to begin in October for a 2010 premiere.

We all know Summer Glau is coming to Dollhouse and that she’ll play a Dollhouse employee of some sort – but now a FOX-related source has given me a bit more information on her character.

Joss Whedon has said he would not cast Glau as a Doll, due to her playing similar roles of that sort in the past – and indeed, he’s gone the opposite route. Rather than playing a Doll, Glau is playing one of the people who makes the Dolls what they are. Yes, Glau’s character, Bennett, is the equivalent of Topher – a Programmer. Bennett works in a Dollhouse that is new to the series, located in Washington, DC.

Bennett comes into play as Alexis Denisof’s new character Daniel Perrin (briefly introduced in the season premiere) has his role and storyline elevated. Perrin is a US senator, so it seems a trip to Washington, DC is likely in store for the Dollhouse crew.

There is another article about Summer’s role on Dollhouse via HitFix.com but since it’s very spoilery, I’ve posted an extract under the cut; click on the link to read the article in full.

We hear that Glau will play a character named Bennett who shares a past with Eliza Dushku’s Echo and has a connection to another Dollhouse character.

Excited yet? How about this for a juicy kernel? We’re told that Bennett works for a Dollhouse. Did you notice the key detail there? That would be *a* Dollhouse, not necessarily *the* Dollhouse that we’ve come to know and love. Then again, it totally could be *the* Dollhouse, but that wouldn’t be as fun, now would it?

It’s been a poorly kept secret that Whedon wanted to get Glau for a “Dollhouse” role and that he didn’t want her to simply play a doll.

Entertainment Weekly got an exclusive with Joss Whedon recently and said that he has already approached Summer before T:SCC was even canceled about starring on Dollhouse. Joss simply wants Summer to be in a role unlike one she’s played before – I definitely see his point, but I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing her on the show in any way!

Question: With Sarah Connor Chronicles canceled, please tell me there is a possibility of Summer Glau making an appearance on Dollhouse! –Jenn
Ausiello: The noise you’re about to hear is the sound of the Whedonverse exploding. Joss confirms to me exclusively that, well, he’s one step head of you. “If anybody thinks [bringing Summer onto Dollhouse] hasn’t occurred to me already then they have not met me,” he says. “I mentioned it to her before [SCC] was canceled. I was like, ‘You know, we should get you in the ‘house.’ But first we have to come up with something that works.” And casting her as a doll would not work, insists Whedon. “Summer would be perfect to play an active, but she’s done that [type of role] a lot,” he says. “I’d rather see her play someone who talks too much. The most fun I have is when I get somebody who’s good and comfortable at doing something, and then I make them do something else. Summer said to me, ‘I would like to play a normal girl before I die of extreme old age.’”

Dear Friends,

Here is my long overdue thank you note to anyone and every person who has watched our pride and joy Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles… Now that our season is done and I somehow feel far away, I want to say that it wouldn’t have been possible without faithful viewers; and it wouldn’t have been fun to make without such sincere interest from you…

I choose to post my note on Cristelle’s website so that I could also thank her for the beautiful work she has done, on my behalf, for this site. I come here to reminisce from time to time because she has posted so many of my best memories. Thank you Cristelle…

Anyway, I just want to say that acting for anyone who enjoys it is a privilege. Thank you all for helping make that possible. I am devastated that our show will not be back (Jameron forever!!!), but I can’t say that I’m ungrateful for the opportunity to be part of something so special. I’m really proud of what our team put together and eternally thankful to all of you for embracing what we were trying to do…

I love Josh very much and thank him. He pushed to make me part of this cast and created a series that was unique and beautiful. James Middleton held us together, staying with us everyday on set and talking us through every step… John Wirth and Jill Danton are all- stars that I pray I work with again….ALL of our writers. Toni, thank you for giving me Allison from Palmdale…

I was just going through my scripts this morning… (I thought it was time). I picked up-

“Born To Run”

written by Josh Friedman

I’m going to miss that so much. I’m really sad…

You know I’m not good at posting things but this is my effort. I’m not very brilliant, witty or poetic like my mentors (you know who they are) but I love you, S

Mycah says: The announcement of Terminator’s 22 episode line-up! And for me the soundtrack release, as It’s a beautiful soundtrack, love the scores, theme and Shirley’s song so I’m very anxious to pick it up!

Angie says: The announcement that T:SCC has been paired with Dollhouse next February! Two of my favourite actors, one after the other?
Worst News
Mycah says: The disappointing ratings for T:SCC now and then. The show would drop one day, and be higher the next, the rumors of Terminator being canceled were constant. Given Fox’s itchy trigger finger from previous show’s the fans were definitely worried.

Angie says: I haven’t really kept up with all the news so I guess I’ll second Mycah’s answer.

Terminator is moving to a new night starting beginning February 13. It’s moving to Fridays and will be paired with Joss Whedon’s new series Dollhouse which stars <a href="http://www.elizafan.com/" target=_"blank">Eliza Dushku. I know many T:SCC fans are looking forward to the new Whedon show, and Summer has worked with Joss in the past but I fear this is a bad decision moving to Fridays! I guess only time will tell and I hope T:SCC will still fare well ratings wise. It’s good we were renewed for 22 episodes, but the show is too damn good to be canceled ‘prematurely’ after only two seasons. I know both Terminator and Whedon series survive a lot of their cult fanbases so I hope it will be enough if other audiences don’t catch on – but here’s to hoping they do!

Here is a report from <a href="http://tv.ign.com/articles/927/927844p1.html" target=_"blank">IGN.

Originally, Dollhouse was going to have a much-desired spot on the schedule, paired with 24 on Monday nights. As for Terminator, it was going to go on a temporary hiatus, along with Prison Break.

Now though, Fox has decided to keep Terminator on the air, and in fact, they’re going to pair it with Dollhouse. The catch? The shows will be on Friday nights, often referred to as the “death slot,” due to the low number of overall viewers for television on Fridays. Certainly, no show the network thinks could be a big smash hit is put on Fridays these days.

However, it’s not really a shock that Fox doesn’t see either of these series in that light. Terminator struggles in the ratings, and its pick up for a full season was actually somewhat of a surprise. And Dollhouse has suffered some problems on its way to TV, including jettisoning the entire original pilot and a shut down in production.

So does putting these two shows on Friday mean they’re doomed? Well, it means they’re not exactly in a great place, but on the other hand, it could also help them. With no big hit paired with them, on top of airing on a low-viewership night, it means the expectations are down for the shows – which means they don’t have to perform as well as they might in other circumstances to be considered a success and if they can pull in decent ratings, they might have a nice chance at coming back.

If Dollhouse had been paired with 24, as originally intended, but failed to hold on to a sizeable portion of the 24 audience, it could have been in jeopardy very quickly. Now, it only needs to stay afloat with the relatively low Terminator ratings – though it’s hard not to worry that the move to Fridays will initially cause a drop in Terminator’s ratings.

However, this is certainly a line-up with a lot of appeal to a cult audience and it can’t hurt to have Whedon alum Summer Glau appearing in Terminator as the lead-in to Whedon’s own new show, starring another previous collaborator, Eliza Dushku. When you factor in the returning Battlestar Galactica also airing on Friday nights on SCI FI Channel, you have one geek-friendly night of TV. Not to mention, Friday nights weren’t always so gloomy on TV, and it’s of course where Fox’s own <a href="http://www.xfilesmedia.com" target=_"blank">X-Files first became a cult success – though cynics will also note it’s where Fox aired Whedon’s doomed Firefly too. Hopefully the fate of Terminator and Dollhouse can follow Mulder and Scully’s TV route and not Captain Malcolm Reynold’s.
