First off, apologies for the lack of updates lately; I was offline following a house move & was unable to get reconnected sooner. So, a little late than never: the very first HQ episode stills featuring Summer in the upcoming episode of Dollhouse, titled ‘The Public Eye’, have been added to the gallery — I love this look; definitely a new character for our Summer! In other news, there were fears over Dollhouse being cancelled due to low ratings, but FOX have confirmed that they will be airing all 13 episodes, so we can breathe a sigh of relief.

‘Dollhouse’ Expanded to Recurring Role

More project news! Dollverse has confirmed that Summer has expanded her role on Dollhouse to a recurring guest role, which means that she’ll be in more than 2 episodes, as previously announced. How awesome is that?!

Somebody from the Dollhouse-world just let me Summer is staying on Dollhouse as a reoccuring. As we originally announced a month or so ago to the interwebs, she was signed to just two episodes then.

Summer is currently in episodes 5, 6 and 7 (production order).

‘Dollhouse’ Season 2 Premiering Tonight!

Just a heads up that the second season of Dollhouse premieres tonight with episode 2×01, titled ‘Vows’ — as you may know, Summer is currently filming a recurring role on the series; I’ll be sure to keep you guys up-to-date on the details of Summer’s episodes as soon as we get further confirmation!

Eliza has posted about Summer on her official Twitter this morning, which suggests that Summer may be on the Dollhouse set. I’ll be sure to keep you guys up-to-date with any news/set pics if they surface!

IGN has additional information on Summer’s upcoming role in season 2 of Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse — very exciting! — but since it’s very specific and very spoilery; also including information on Alexis Denisof’s character, I’ve posted the article under the cut.

We all know Summer Glau is coming to Dollhouse and that she’ll play a Dollhouse employee of some sort – but now a FOX-related source has given me a bit more information on her character.

Joss Whedon has said he would not cast Glau as a Doll, due to her playing similar roles of that sort in the past – and indeed, he’s gone the opposite route. Rather than playing a Doll, Glau is playing one of the people who makes the Dolls what they are. Yes, Glau’s character, Bennett, is the equivalent of Topher – a Programmer. Bennett works in a Dollhouse that is new to the series, located in Washington, DC.

Bennett comes into play as Alexis Denisof’s new character Daniel Perrin (briefly introduced in the season premiere) has his role and storyline elevated. Perrin is a US senator, so it seems a trip to Washington, DC is likely in store for the Dollhouse crew.

Summer Glau is entering Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse, folks.

No, really.

She joins the show in episode 5 — airing in October — for two initial eps playing a character called Bennett, working inside the Dollhouse.

The news was confirmed to us by Fox.

We hear that Glau will play a character named Bennett who shares a past with Eliza Dushku’s Echo and has a connection to another Dollhouse character.

Excited yet? How about this for a juicy kernel? We’re told that Bennett works for a Dollhouse. Did you notice the key detail there? That would be *a* Dollhouse, not necessarily *the* Dollhouse that we’ve come to know and love. Then again, it totally could be *the* Dollhouse, but that wouldn’t be as fun, now would it?

It’s been a poorly kept secret that Whedon wanted to get Glau for a “Dollhouse” role and that he didn’t want her to simply play a doll.

I’m Angie — you may remember I last updated with DVD captures from The Unit — and since Mycah is no longer able to run the site, hence the lack of updates lately (though she still remains a fan of Summer) I was asked to take over the reins, so here I am.

Be sure to check back as I’ll be working on getting the gallery up-to-date, especially the ‘Public Appearances’ section and I’ll also be working on screencapping Summer’s roles.

We also have several new projects from Summer: a ‘rag-tag comedy’ titled Good Morning Rabbit and a recurring role in Dollhouse — yes, it’s been confirmed, at long last! The next update offers more detail on Summer’s character, but she isn’t a doll. It’s something completely different. Exciting news!
