Summer Glau Central

Summer will play herself in an upcoming episode of CBS show The Big Bang Theory!

This has been a big week for The Big Bang Theory’s nerd herd. First, they score their best ratings ever, and now they’re getting to rub elbows with frakkin’ Summer Glau!

The Sarah Connor Chronicles siren will play herself in the March 9 episode, the set-up of which already has me ROFWLing: A train trip to San  Francisco takes a major detour when Leonard, Sheldon, Wolowitz, and Raj discover that their favorite sci-fi actress in all the land is on board. But the fanboy frenzy quickly gives way to a heated mass debate (tee-hee) when they realize one of them will have to approach her — but who?

It’s not too difficult to figure out how this cheeky cross-over came about, provided you know this little detail: The Big Bang Theory and Sarah Connor Chronicles (which returns this Friday) are both produced by Warner Bros.

Pound for pound, Summer Glau is one of the toughest stars in the action film and television world. The fact she stands a mere 5-feet-6 and weighs about as much as a Boston terrier has not stopped the Texas native from being the muscle on TV shows like Firefly and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Who says you have to be a former bodybuilder to be a Terminator?

There is an awesome Grindhouse styled promo trailer for the Friday night pairing of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dollhouse on SpoilerTV. It features more of Dollhouse/Eliza Dushku but it’s insanely cool and got me super excited for the show’s return. Two more weeks and T:SCC returns to our screens!

I have added screencaptures of Summer’s appearance on CSI back from 2004. She only appears in one scene but Summer delivers a good performance as always. In fact, it’s actually one of my favorite episodes of the series in general.

Mycah says: The announcement of Terminator’s 22 episode line-up! And for me the soundtrack release, as It’s a beautiful soundtrack, love the scores, theme and Shirley’s song so I’m very anxious to pick it up!

Angie says: The announcement that T:SCC has been paired with Dollhouse next February! Two of my favourite actors, one after the other? This is good news people.

Worst News
Mycah says: The disappointing ratings for T:SCC now and then. The show would drop one day, and be higher the next, the rumors of Terminator being canceled were constant. Given Fox’s itchy trigger finger from previous show’s the fans were definitely worried.

Angie says: I haven’t really kept up with all the news so I guess I’ll second Mycah’s answer.
